Vegetal House
An italian design overview
The exhibition aims to question how natural forms interfere in artefacts and objects, in design as well as in their perception.
Different Italian artists and designers have created phytomorphic objects over the years: from Giacomo Balla with Futurist Flora to Piero Fornasetti with Cesta de Dalias. This tendency could refer to a symbolic mechanism which tends to consider domestic interiors as places of substitution for the natural elements, inevitably expelled from our life. The design of the exhibition transforms the space into an idealized and scenic botanical garden.
For the work I first printed by hand (using a "baren") the natural elements, and then digitally reworked to the identity of the exhibition,
as well as to the museum interiors and communication.
